The Concert Band is comprised of nearly 50 musicians and is the largest performing ensemble within the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West.

It has performed for thousands of listeners in live concert appearances and for millions worldwide via its numerous recordings and television and radio broadcasts. Throughout its history, the Concert Band has collaborated with some of America's leading band conductors, receiving enthusiastic critical acclaim as one of premier musical organizations of its kind.

Touring the western states of California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, Nevada, and Arizona, the Concert Band performs a wide variety of music. This includes standard concert band/wind ensemble literature, orchestral transcriptions, military marches, jazz and pop arrangements, Broadway standards, and of course, patriotic music. Its wide and varied programs offer something for everyone and is an excellent choice for family entertainment.

MOBILITY

Mobility is an upbeat group of talented musicians bringing you rock, jazz and blues favorites, new and old. As a subdivision of the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West, Mobility travels the West Coast bringing civilians and military personnel entertainment and American pride through music. Mobility consists of Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboard, and Vocals -- a perfect combination to bring people to their feet with a smile.

Mobility continues its long tradition of providing as wide-ranging a musical format as possible to meet the desires of its listeners. Its tailored, fast-paced variety shows are presented at events ranging from official military functions, to community relations concerts, fairs and public school concerts throughout the Western United States. This small ensemble's versatility is unmatched. The group's unique blend of music also includes patriotic selections for special occasions.

Much like its name implies, this high-powered group travels extensively throughout California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Nevada. Mobility regularly entertains eager crowds at professional sporting events such as the games of the Oakland Raiders, San Francisco 49ers, and the Oakland A's. Audiences can rest assured that the band will have them moving too when they’re dancing to Mobility's tunes!

The Golden West Winds is part of the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West from Travis Air Force Base, California. Comprised of flute, oboe, clarinet, French horn, and bass clarinet, this ensemble supports a wide variety of musical events ranging from military ceremonies and patriotic shows to educational programs and recitals of original works for woodwind quintet. THE BLUE YONDERS

As one of the newer performing groups of the USAF Band of the Golden West, The Blue Yonders offer a uniquely entertaining performance featuring traditional and not-so-traditional Irish and Bluegrass music. The six-member ensemble features a variety of instruments: Irish flute, penny whistle, accordion, bodhran, djembe, mandolin, guitar, bass guitar, and of course, plenty of vocals. In addition to time-honored standards, The Blue Yonders put an Irish-bluegrass spin on American classic and modern rock tunes.
